A message from the principal
Dear Parkside families,
Welcome to Parkside, home of the Pioneers! I’m Principal Lewis and I am beginning my 30th year in education. I have worked in the Grants Pass School District for 15 yrs. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family camping, golfing and working on my property with my tractor.
At Parkside, we value everyone attending and working at Parkside, and will accept and support all people, encouraging our students to reach their fullest potential in a respectful, motivating and nurturing environment. We will prepare students to be effective participants in society by empowering them with a broad and balanced education.
We are proud of our 25 highly qualified and passionate teachers who go above and beyond to ensure that every student receives the support they need to succeed. We offer a wide variety of extracurricular activities and events, including afterschool activities in PE, Band and Strings in the 4th and 5th grades during the school day, to provide our students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for success both in and out of the classroom.
This year, we will continue to focus on increasing our math and reading scores, and we welcome your support and involvement. We believe that communication and collaboration are key to a successful school year, and we encourage parents and community members to stay involved and engaged in our school.
